Every college girl searches for the perfect internship. Whether or not you get our dream job right away, you can still dress the part of the office superstar. Senior Megan O’Conor models a sleek fall outfit that’s perfect for your college internship.

Megan’s overall look is professional and understated. The little details throughout the outfit make it stylish and fun while remaining work appropriate.

Over top Megan sports this charcoal/black over-sized blazer from Tibi. Blazers are a obvious go-to for work attire, but wearing an over sized blazer as opposed to a fitted one is a fun play on menswear that comes off as relaxed, smart, and sexy.

The shirt is simple in color and silhouette while the heathered blend adds intrigue that is still easy to match with outer layers. The gold statement piece layered over top adds just a touch of sparkle and breaks up the monochromatic color palette of the rest of the outfit. This necklace is one you can wear with a variety of different looks, and is from Forever 21 for only between $7-12. As long as you’re not expecting it to last forever, Forever 21 is the perfect place to load up on inexpensive, stylish statement pieces.

Not only are these leggings edgy, they are also form-flattering thanks to the thin panel down the side. Leggings tend to be way more comfortable than actual pants, so as long as they’re not too form fitting they’re a great way to avoid wearing slacks to your internship everyday.

Megan finishes off her outfit with these funky metal-toed booties from H&M. The little bit of silver clashes (in a good way) with the gold and again breaks up the all-black ensemble. The short heel makes the outfit more sophisticated than flats, but doesn’t kill your feet the way full-fledged pumps do. Like the rest of the outfit, Megan manages to balance comfort, stye, and class to make polished and professional look for work.
