Bikinis are the classic choice and have remained the popular choice for bathing suits for decades. The styles of bikinis have changed and shifted since its introduction in 1946. Today, there are a couple common styles of bikinis. There are bandeau bikinis or strapless bikinis, tankinis, skirtkinis, and so many more. When you go to the beach this summer, you’ll probably see a couple of different, popular styles. The sting bikini or the triangle bikini are always trendy choices as they are pretty much considered the quintessential bikini. If you’re looking for a classic choice, a traditional white or bright red bikini will do the trick.

If you’re looking for something a little different, go for more coverage! High-waisted bottoms and bikini tops with high necklines have become very popular during the past few seasons. It’s a small twist on the classic bikini but it still holds true to the iconic style. The design isn’t for everyone but it’s definitely a style you’ll be seeing around.

If you’re really trying to stay on top of the trends, one-pieces are what you’re looking for. In the past couple years, there has been a huge return to the retro style of one-piece swimsuits. This look features both solid colors and vivid designs. Either way you go, these swimsuits will make you look like you just stepped out of Baywatch. One-pieces often feature low backlines and high cut legs. This way the bathing suit stays vintage while still looking chic and modern.
